Wine Director
Sydney Fusto is the Wine Director at Manhatta, overseeing the restaurant’s award-winning wine program spanning over 2,500 labels.
A New York City native, Sydney started working in restaurants at just 17 years old. In 2015, she quickly found her calling in wine while working as a server at Alta Linea in the High Line Hotel. From there, she joined Bolton & Watt as a bartender and then as a cellar hand at Restaurant Marc Forgione in TriBeCa. It was there that she began to hone her craft and formally train as a sommelier. In 2017, Sydney joined Union Square Hospitality Group as a sommelier at Marta, the group’s Roman-inspired pizzeria. In the years that followed, Sydney held sommelier roles at Del Posto, Cote, and, most recently, Restaurant Daniel. In 2024, Sydney took the next step in her wine education, proudly earning her diploma from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust.
At Manhatta, Sydney oversees a wine program with impressive depth and a global focus. The wine program she champions is versatile, curious, and playful—one that invites guests to explore and experiment.
