Aliz Meszesi

Bar Director

Aliz Meszesi is Manhatta’s Bar Director.  

Born in Romania and raised in Hungary, Aliz began her hospitality career in Budapest, working behind the bar at some of the city’s most popular establishments. In 2015, Aliz was approached by the Boston-based hospitality company Xenia to help open Committee, the group's Greek restaurant and cocktail bar. Over the next seven years, Aliz served as Xenia’s corporate beverage director, assisting with expansion and new openings across Boston. In 2024, she became the bar manager at The Langham, Boston. 

In May 2025, Aliz relocated to NYC to become the Bar Director at Manhatta. In her role, Aliz oversees the sky-high restaurant’s award-winning bar program, working with an array of house-made ingredients to craft signature cocktails inspired by the diversity of the city. Aliz is passionate about mentorship, involving her team in menu development and establishing a strong connection between Manhatta’s culinary and beverage offerings.
